Interracial marriage in America

Interracial marriage was considered taboo in most areas in the United States. Until June 12, 1967, the US Supreme Court abolished a ban on whites and other Virginia miscegenation statute. The ruling also overturned the other 15 US states against the black and white miscegenation laws. Since then, the number of interracial marriages in the United States began to increase. America in the 21st century, with the rising waves of immigration, people from different races around the world, the influx of the United States, the number of interracial marriages and biracial surge in American society has become more diverse, inter-ethnic isolation is gradually reduced.
